Mountings for the body.
Pepairing the body to frame mounts front bolts. Firstly what you need is to purchase 2 well ute centre frame mounts. These have to be grafted to make one, then they must be extended at each end so they can be welded to the filler panel above the sill.
The rear frame mount and the centre frame mount require no modification they will work as per factory these mounting points are the same on the one ton ute and the well back ute.
The photo below shows the newly made body mount in position. Always allow at lease 50% overlape and if required stager your cuts.
The tray mounting brackets on the one ton ute frame must be remounted to the rear of the frame , this will allow room for the load board to clear the body mounting support.

The critical measurements.
This stage of the customization is critical. If you get it wrong here the whole project will go wrong.
So plan with precision, measure ten times and cut only once. Aways cut long at this stage leaving room for ajustments. This type of work must be finessed not pushed and bashed. Think of all the possible ways it can be done. Once you have a clear picture to what you believe will be right get started. Remember you can be flexible with your ideas, these projects have a feeling of being right. There are no wrong ways only results. It may not be the result you like. If not change the way you are going. These projects are a work in motion and always changing.
Don't get caught out thinking you can do an engineers drawing and do a project like this. It will never work. Just get started and it will flow.

Caprice Crewman 1 tonner 1984.
Ok here is what we have. A WB Caprice crewman. This car is a genuine 1984 statesman with a 1 tonner end cap grafted in. The 1 tonner chassis has had a 1 meter stretch, the rear tray is a full length one tonner. The rear window is 2 inches lower than a standard 1 tonner.
The rear quarter windows in the rear doors are one off.
